New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox
- Leg 1: Red Sox Moneyline (-108)
- Leg 2: Over 10 Runs (-105)
- Leg 3: Red Sox Over 4.5 Runs (-115)
The start of the Yankees’ struggles over the last month could be pinpointed to the last time they played at Fenway Park. Since June 15th at Boston, the Yankees have the second-worst record at 10-23, are 27th in batting average (.229) and 28th in ERA (5.39).
Last night, you saw the problem they need to rectify €” the bullpen. After the Yankees had a four-run seventh inning to go up 7-4, the bullpen would allow five runs, and the Yankees would drop their third straight. They are lucky they had an incredible start to the season and the Orioles haven’t been playing well either, giving them hope.
Marcus Stroman had an excellent start to the season and while he hasn’t been as bad as some of the other starting pitching, he still has a 5.21 ERA over his last four starts.
That series win against the Yankees sent the Red Sox on a different trajectory. Since June 12th, they are 21-13, are second in batting average (.277) and have moved into a playoff spot. It will get interesting because they also need bullpen help and will go after the same guys New York wants.
Kutter Crawford is having an inconsistent season, but his 3.47 ERA is the best of his career. He went scoreless in two of his last three starts, including against the Yankees, but in his last outing, the Dodgers used him as a launching pad and crushed five home runs.
There is zero confidence in the Yankees right now and Boston seems to have their number. This could be another high-scoring game, but with the Red Sox winning again.

Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers
- Leg 1: Tigers Moneyline (-122)
- Leg 2: Under 7 Runs (-110)
- Leg 3: Tarik Skubal Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-105)
The Twins do not look like they can win back-to-back American League Central division titles, as the Guardians are one of the more complete teams in that division.
They have an excellent lineup, something they didn’t have last year, but the pitching has regressed massively, going from the fifth-best ERA in 2023 to 19th.
Pablo Lopez is part of that regression, going from his first All-Star appearance last season to a 4.86 ERA, which has been the worst since 2019.
The Tigers are on a nice stretch at the moment, as they are 12-6 in their last 18. The American League Central is likely out of the picture, but the Wild Card could still be in play. They likely won’t try to add to the roster, but now they may not try to sell.
One player who has been in talks about his status in Detroit is Tarik Skubal. He’s currently the odds-on favorite to win the American League Cy Young and leads the league in ERA (2.34).
